Recently I was lucky enough to win an award/mentorship that will change the face of Roisin Connolly Jewellery for the better. The First Steps award is in its first year with Fife Cultural Trust and FCA&C. The award is both funding and mentoring in helping new makers/artists develop their business.
After an initial meeting with FCA&C and Louise Trow, it enabled them to further discuss what aid I meant benefit from as part of this 12 month scheme. From this they can then match me with a mentor they think compliment the stage of career I am at and how I’d like to prgress. The funding can go towards exciting projects such as research trips, extra courses to expand my skillset and much much more. I am very excited to have been selected and can’t wait to see how the next 12 months are going to change the face of Roisin Connolly.
Over the next 12 months keep on checking back to see how I am using this award.
First thoughts… research trip to London during London Jewellery week? Yes please.
